Episode 34: The Thriving Multi-Faceted Leader: Live Out Your Purpose Across Roles with Alex Penduck

“Balance is impossible. One thing is always going to take precedence over the other. So instead of trying to live in balance, try to live in rhythm.” —Alex Penduck

Entrepreneurs often find themselves juggling multiple roles and responsibilities beyond just running their business. Many successful entrepreneurs are able to leverage their diverse skills and experiences to make a meaningful impact in both the marketplace and their local community. Whether it's serving as a pastor, volunteering for a nonprofit, or leading a professional organization, entrepreneurs who embrace a dual or multi-faceted role can bring a unique perspective and set of capabilities that allow them to thrive in various spheres of influence.

Alex Penduck is a multifaceted leader who balances roles in the insurance industry and as a dedicated pastor. As the Kingdom Builders pastor at Freedom Church, he works with marketplace leaders to provide Christian discipleship, while also serving as an insurance professional with over 14 years of experience. By developing rhythms and routines that allow him to effectively serve in both areas, Alex was able to help countless Christian business leaders while maintaining a focus on his core values and purpose.

Listen in as Scott and Alex emphasize the importance of finding the rhythm especially when navigating multi-faceted roles, insights from Alex’s book The Christian Business Leader, the need for a group that approaches business decisions from a Christian worldview, the importance of defining core values and prioritizing people over profits, the power of building a strong team, and more.
